The Motorola GP688 Professional Series portable offers users a more compact version of the popular GP680 but one third smaller featuring full keypad access to deliver increased functionality and productivity while meeting the more comprehensive needs of larger based organizations. The GP688's signaling package is fully compliant with MPT and includes MPT1343, Regionet 43 and ANN modes of operation.

Additional features of the radio the enhance the overall functionality are the built-in Emergency Signaling button, which sends a signal to a predefined person or group enabling more protection and safety for lone workers, while dynamic regrouping allows users to remotely change radio talk-groups and preferences. The simple intuitive menu and contact list makes one-to-one or one-to-many calls easy, putting the power of the GP688 at the user’s fingertips.
