AIR delivers Technology Conference in Greece
American International Radio (AIR) held a two day
conference event in Athens to present the latest updates on Motorola products,
including the newest Mototrbo Release, sales strategies and projects
implementations for TETRA, as well as Safemobile projects within the Balkan
Region and Central Africa.
Athens 27th-28th September 2011, at the Plaza Resort
Hotel near Athens, American International Radio (AIR) presented the latest
updates from Motorola and Safemobile at conference dealer meet. The event was
attended by more than 40 participants from Balkan and Central Africa region.
AIR expressed its confidence in its channel partners and will keep investing in
its channel network, with the strong support from Motorola, AIR is committed to
'Reach Globally, Act Locally' to support its channel partners, share its
expertise, knowledge and experiences to support channel partners to grow and
develop their business.
Rolf Pein, Executive Vice President of AIR, kicked off
the conference by presenting a well documented analysis on global market of
professional mobile radios as well as a report regarding the migration to
digital technology. Jörg Baumbach, Director of
Sales Radio Channel Business Central & Southern Europe, Motorola Solutions
has presented the Motorola Solutions’ overall strategy and positioning to the
audience and highlighted the portfolios offered by Motorola solutions. He also
shared the successful result achieved in pushing digital solutions in Germany
by implementing the Free Trial Options for the customers.
The first day session was dedicated to sales strategies
and best projects and success stories of MotoTRBO™ system within the region,
the newest Mototrbo release, Linked capacity plus, capacity plus and Mototrbo
2.0 generation. Ricardo Gonzalez, Strategic Planning Manager EMEA from Motorola
solutions has outlined various sales strategies in stimulating continuous
channel business growth. Sirio Magliocca, Motorola Solutions Channel Account
Manager provided a vivid and detailed update on both Vertex and Mototrbo
products diving deep into feature-rich explanations and competitive advantages
of Vertex and Mototrbo solutions.
The conference continued
with a comprehensive presentation on Wireless Broadband Solutions held by
George Stanescu General Manager of AIR WiBB division. Mr Stanescu pointed out
the feature updates and the benefits of the Wireless Broadband
solutions. The presentation continued with the announcement made by Ileana
Marcu, Sales & Marketing Manager of Broadband Products regarding the Vector
Capital’s acquisition of Motorola’s Point-to-Point (PTP) and
Point-to-Multipoint (PMP or Canopy) Solutions. Ileana quoted the statement from
Phil Bolt, who will serve as CEO of Cambium Networks (the company that will
manage the Wireless Broadband Networks Business) explaining that Motorola’s
partners will continue to receive the innovative products, quality and support
for which we are renowned, only now with the advantage of increased focus and
flexibility”.
The second day secession
focused on TETRA and Safemobile products and projects implementations within
the region. Several key presenters from Motorola were in attendance to drive
home the importance of the new technological solutions available from Motorola.
Luciano Valentini, Motorola Solution Channel Sales Manger gave a
presentation on both Tetra products and success stories demonstrating what can
be achieved when working with strong partners. Safemobile, a global Mototrbo
application partner was also presented at the event by Juergen Elze and was
welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm by the dealers.
Yan Liang, marketing manager of AIR Inc, delivered a
complete presentation on how AIR can support its channel partners to further
grow their business from marketing’s perspective. The key messages are around
how AIR’s partners can benefit from the marketing support and communication
platform provided by AIR. She also shared the planned marketing initiatives and
projects with participants to ensure the marketing effort and resources will
benefit channel partners directly.
The third day was
dedicated to one on one business discussions, strategic planning and
sight-seeing.
AIR’s continuous commitment in investing and supporting
business partners throughout EMEA has been felt through by partners. As this
event in Athens shows, AIR is taking leaps and strides to invest in partners
and dealers to help them gain more momentum and competitive advantage in
marketplace. As usual, the conference in Athens was a success and all the
participants were very content about the outcome “It was great to meet the team and the other partners.
The conference was very informative and the whole experience was very well
organised,” said Nick Deabill from South Midlands Communications
Ltd. In
this time of economic turmoil, the event “was like an injection of
positive thinking and we needed that,” concluded Vassilia Keka from Helecom
Greece.
