AIR Launches Empower, Engage & Evolve Event in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan—1st October 2009 AIR Telecommunication Solutions Inc., a division of American International Radio, Inc. (AIR) with offices located in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey held the first of several planned roadshows for partners and customers within Pakistan. The Empower, Engage & Evolve Event, hosted at the Serena Hotel, was aimed at providing end users and partners within the country, the means and solutions to enhance and protect their country’s communication and infrastructure systems.

Bugra Karabey, Vice President of Channel Sales for AIR Turkey, along with Sahin Murt and Levent Ergun presented to members from the UNHCR, Pakistani SPD, Armed Forces Signals Command, Intelligence Department, and various other Public Safety and Defense agencies products and technologies that could assist them in overhauling their current communications infrastructure.  The one day event began with a review on Motorola’s current line of analog radios and progressed to their newest arrival of the Vertex portfolio, then proceeded to the star of the show, MOTOTRBO and the age of digital radio technology.  To emphasize just how far customers could utilize this digital technology, AIR presented applications (SafeDispatch) from Safemobile which complimented the MOTOTRBO system and showcased its flexibility and unique capabilities.

On perhaps an unexpected good note, and a bit of good news to the presenters was that the UN had officially certified Motorola’s Point to Point (PTP) line as a certified broadband product, making the delivery of the presentation even more effective and bringing more attention to the value of such a solution to any communication infrastructure.  Additional sessions on TETRA, SCADA, City wide video surveillance and Hughes VSAT solutions,  also made their way into the  event, with the audience’s attention focused on  the availability of Broadband PTP links delivered through Motorola based technology and what was presented in the areas of video surveillance and intelligence solutions.

AIR debuted at the event their TSM (Technical Surveillance Measures) Portfolio, which intrigued many in the audience and spurred further question and answer sessions on how exactly this line could enhance their security and defense communications measures.

“The Pakistani market presents a wealth of opportunity for AIR Telecommunication Solutions Inc. and we will do our best to serve the public safety, government and security forces in this region to help them gain back peace of mind and fend off those who seek to harm them and the civilians within the region. Our presence here today, has shown the leaders of the country we are here to support them and are willing to invest the time and resources to help them” stated Bugra Karabey following the close of the event.

As 2010 approaches, AIR Turkey plans to move ahead in securing the Pakistani market and adding them to their reputable list of clients and delivering the security and communications solutions they require.  Bugra Karabey explained that several possible projects are already being discussed with the technology and solutions presented today, with many more on the way.
