AIR Announces Opening of AIRadio Deutschland GmbH & Co. Kg
Berlin, Germany—October 12th, 2009 American International Radio, Inc. (AIR) is pleased to announce the opening of their newest subsidiary in Berlin, Germany. After 20 years of a solid relationship with Motorola in the EMEA region, and as their largest distributor within that region, AIR has gained distributorship rights for the German market.
Beyond distribution and integration of Motorola products, AIR develops and distributes mobility and IT solutions and custom tailored applications for the professional radio communication market.
The opening of the German subsidiary is part of AIR’s overall strategy to expand into new markets with new products and services and to better support the customers in the region.
AIRadio Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG was formed in conjunction with HERMES Microcom GmbH & Co.
KG, a long-time Motorola Application Partner and a local manufacturer of data solutions.
According to AIR corporate strategy, the focus of activities will include close cooperation and partnership with the radio communication partners and adjacent business segments within the German market. The main business strategy for the new branch will include:
• Distribution of wireless products, with a strong focus on Motorola products
• System integration and support for digital (Tetra and DMR), as well as analog radio systems
• Development and distribution of custom tailored solutions
• Reconversion of dealers to Motorola brand
• Purely indirect distribution (only via/with) resellers and integrators
AIR is confident that with the expertise and long term market knowledge, as well as with the brand competence, the German team will persuade and bring on board many new partners, expanding even further AIR’s reach within the European market.
