Istanbul Metro "On-Board System"

As a custom solution, AIR has successfully designed, manufactured and installed an “On-board System” (OBS) in order to be used in the trains of Istanbul Metro.

OBS works in conjunction with Motorola MTM800 Tetra radios, and with an embedded a keypad and LCD, provides the following functionality to the train driver and the central operator:

Announcement from control center to the train driver or to one or multiple cars of the train
Sending text messages from control center to one or multiple trains
Sending new or recorded text messages from the train to the control center
When emergency button is pressed by the driver, it sends a signal to the control center
Activating driver cabin microphone from the center
