April 12th-15th 2016 – American International Radio Inc., hosted a two-day regional conference addressed to its channel partners in Balkans, Africa and the Middle East. Over 30 partners representing 21 companies across EMEA participated to this year’s meet held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in beautiful Biarritz, France. The conference agenda featured the latest offerings from Motorola Solutions, AIR, AIR Broadband, Vertex Standard, Cambium Networks, Telex, Barrett Communications, Codan, Freedom Communications, including MOTOTRBO™ and TETRA radios and systems, Vertex Standard Portfolio as well as Safemobile’s most recent releases, SafeDispatch V7.0, SafeNet 4.0, Linx and X10DR Long Range Wireless Secure Microphone.
Rolf Pein, AIR’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, started the conference by greeting the partners: “It is a tremendous pleasure to see you in our conferences year after year! Oliver Zuber, SEE Channel Account Manager at Motorola Solutions, continued with a presentation on the challenges and opportunities within the South-Eastern and Eastern Europe, focusing on the 2016 business trends as well as on the Motorola Solutions strategy for the years to come. The opportunities represented by the expansion into adjacent markets together with the continuous innovation of the technology, were undoubtedly the key differentiators on how partners could overcome the competition.
Day one of the conference carried forward with AIR Product Portfolio Update including the latest product developments by Freedom Communication (R8000C System Analyzers), Barrett Communications’ Military and Tactical Equipments, Codan’s HF Long Haul products and the Dispatch Solutions by Telex, conducted by Romain Costantini, AIR’s Technical Support Manager for Africa.
Tim Clark, director, Sales Channel Products and Programmes for Europe and Africa at Motorola Solutions, provided a vivid update on both MOTOTRBO Radios and MOTOTRBO Systems offerings. The highlight of Tim’s presentations was the new MOTOTRBO Capacity Max Trunked Solution. “Capacity Max builds upon our innovative MOTOTRBO digital two-way radio solutions to deliver enhanced capability and expanded capacity. The rich feature set and increased resilience equips our customers with dependable, mission-critical mobile communications”, he said. Tim also delivered a Vertex Standard Portfolio Update where he introduced the new EXV-S24 Digital and EXV-261 Digital Radios.
First day’s sessions progressed with the Safemobile Solutions Portfolio Overview delivered by Paulina Labudova, EMEA account manager. Paulina presented the GPS monitoring solutions and applications for vehicles, personnel and assets - SafeDispatch® V7.0 and SafeDispatch® Mobile (client hosted) & SafeNet ® V4.0 (cloud based). She also introduced the latest addition to the Safemobile Solutions Family-LINX, the unified communication solution that includes instant PTT calls, Voice over IP, live mapping, text messaging and data transfer, converting multiple communication technologies into a single real-time solution.
Detlev Wemmie, TETRA Sales Director for Nordics, Benelux and Africa at Motorola Solutions, has shared the overall TETRA sales overview within EMEA, followed by detailed dive into Dimetra IP Compact and Dimetra IP Micro system offerings and the comprehensive TETRA terminal overview.
Second day of the conference kicked off with an analysis of the Sub Sahara African Market conducted by Laurent Tribout, Sales Director for Sub Sahara Africa at Motorola Solutions, followed by the presentation on Motorola Solutions Marketing Tools delivered by Jerry Nachmann, Regional Marketing Manager at Motorola Solutions and concluded by Catalina Tatu, Marketing Manager at AIR. The Marketing Presentations focused on how AIR together with Motorola can support the channel partners to further grow their business from marketing’s perspective.
Thorsten Altemoeller, Sales Director of AIR Wireless Broadband Solutions Division gave a detailed presentation on AIR’s Wireless Broadband products and solutions covering Point to Point, Point to Multipoint, Mesh/WIFI, solutions for ISPs, Metropolitan, Surveillance, etc. and introduced the new AIR BB NEO and LTE products, all aimed at helping enterprises, service providers and municipalities to connect reliably anywhere and everywhere. Thorsten also demonstrated AIR’s Broadband Solutions capabilities by showcasing the most representative case studies to the audience.
Day ended with the Cambium Networks Portfolio Presentation by Yassine Bouchlaghem, Regional Sales Director–North/West Africa–France–UN, during which Yassine gave an overview on the current Cambium Product Portfolio, detailing especially the ePMP Series Products and the Wifi Portfolio.
The conference concluded with a questions and answers session.
Third day of the AIR Channel Partner Conference was dedicated to business discussions between AIR, manufacturers and channel partners and a boat trip to San Sebastian in Spain.
The event was successful, for both American International Radio Inc. and its channel partners. It gave participants the great opportunity to learn more about Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO™ new generation, TETRA solutions, AIR, Vertex Standard, SafeMobile, Cambium Networks, Barrett Communications, Telex, Codan, Freedom Communications products, while offering channel partners a perfect occasion to share their experience and communicate their views on market and sales approaches. AIR’s continuous commitment in investing and supporting business partners throughout EMEA has been felt throughout all business channels. As this event in France shows, AIR is taking leaps and strides to invest in partners to help them achieve the sales and strategies that will help them gain more momentum in the marketplace.
