Tetra 2009 World Congress

May 2009—AIR’s Turkish office AIR Telecommunication Solutions Inc. was invited to present at the TETRA World Congress seminars in Munich, Germany, to share with guests their success with the Istanbul Metro underground TETRA coverage extension project.

The TETRA World Congress (TWC) 2009 was the largest gathering of TETRA users, suppliers and developers worldwide spanning a three day event. There were more than 2500 people in attendence, with more than 100 exhibitors, including Motorola as a Gold Sponsor of the event.

As part of the 3 day congress a variety of seminars and sessions were held throughout the days on varying TETRA subject matters. AIR Turkey’s invitation to present during the In-Building & Underground Communications Sessions was an important step for AIR to present its underground TETRA coverage experience to the TETRA professional community and share their solutions with the TETRA market.

Koral Turkkan, Director of Business Development and Sales for AIR Turkey presented in detail the Istanbul Metro Extension Radio Coverage project with the audience. Highlighting key points about Metro RF coverage and specific design considerations for Istanbul Metro, Koral shared all his experiences and insight about this complex project.

AIR Turkey’s New On Board System design for Train Communication was also unveiled during the presentation, showcasing the flexbility, support and dedication this office provides for its clients and customers.
